Our final full day. Morning spent with Isabel (music professor). She introduced the history of music making in Guatemala - we broke into groups to make compositions on traditional instruments. The sociology professor and the archeology professor gave us an informative talk about their work - addressing the politics of inequalities and inequities through the history of Guatemala. This talk came at the perfect time for us - as we reflected back on our multiple experiences. Then Marieala Zelada (Dean of School of Education- and also one of the 3 people who planned this trip for us) gave us a farewell lunch on campus. Many heartfelt thank yous and goodbyes! (The tree we stand below is the tree from which Marimbas are made). Our final dinner tonight at Tres Elephantes - our favorite restaurant! We can't believe this is coming to an end!
